$50,000 STEM College Scholarships for High School Seniors

The Edison Scholars Program recognizes students who want to be makers of tomorrow — the dreamers, inventors, guardians and pioneers — those who dare to be great. Edison International will award $50,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors to help them follow their dreams in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) and empower them to change the world. This is a chance for students with big dreams to advance their education and take part in shaping a brighter future.

Thurmond (YWCA) Scholarships

The Thurmond family, Fullerton community philanthropists, established this college scholarship more than 20 years ago through the YWCA of Orange County to assist female students with their educational expenses. It was created to recognize and support women majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or women returning to college. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 4, 2024.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

This highly competitive scholarship, which is last dollar funding after all institutional aid, can provide as much as $55,000 per year for two to three years to complete a bachelor’s degree at any accredited four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S., starting in fall 2024. Application deadline: January 11, 2024.

FleetNow™ ‘Construct Your Future’ Scholarship  

FleetNow announces a new scholarship program that will contribute to the heavy equipment industry by investing in future leaders pursuing a career in a related field. The FleetNow ‘Construct Your Future’ Annual Scholarship program aids high school and undergraduate students in advancing their education with additional funding. FleetNow will award a $1,000 scholarship to a selected student applicant for use toward their degree or certification. One student will be selected per year. To qualify for the FleetNow Construct Your Future Annual Scholarship, applicants must: 

·       Be a high school or undergraduate student pursuing a higher education in a heavy-equipment-related field. 

·       Submit a 500+ word essay or a 2-minute video detailing who the applicant is, their future goals, and how they plan to reach those goals.  

The first application deadline is May 3, 2024, and the winner will be announced on June 3, 2024.  

Study.com Student Scholarships

Study.com wants to help ease the financial stress of college and support students as they work toward their education goals. To do that, we're offering several Study.com Student Scholarships for students pursuing college degrees in a number of fields of study including nursing, teaching, and business. These scholarships award $1,000 to provide some financial relief for the high cost of college

Educating for Change Scholarship for 2023-24.

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) is pleased to announce the availability of the new Educating for Change Scholarship for 2023-24. Funded by a generous gift from Dr. Joseph Bick and Ms. Stephanie Koop, this funding provides financial support to California Community College students who have a parent incarcerated in a prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). The scholarships are administered by FoundationCCC.

2023-24 Real Estate Education Scholarships

The Foundation for California Community Colleges is pleased to announce the upcoming availability of 2023-24 Real Estate Education Scholarships for California Community College students. These awards are available for students who need financial assistance to help afford enrollment costs in community college real estate education programs.

 

Chicana Latina Foundation Leadership Scholarship

The Chingona Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women while giving back to the community through service, events, youth mentorship and business networking.

South Coast Higher Education Council Bruce Vancil Scholarship

Will award a minimum of three (3) $500 scholarships to transfer students from/to SCHEC-member schools

The Voyager Scholarship- The Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service

An increasingly globalized world needs young leaders who can bridge divides and help solve our biggest challenges together. The Voyager Scholarship was created by the Obamas and Brian Chesky, Airbnb Co-founder and CEO, to help shape such leaders. Even though they come from different backgrounds, both the President and Brian believe that exposure to new places and experiences generates understanding, empathy, and cooperation which equips the next generation to create meaningful change. This scholarship gives college students financial aid to alleviate the burden of college debt, meaningful travel experiences to expand their horizons, and a network of mentors and leaders to support them.

The HEEF Scholarship Program

Must be of Hispanic heritage:

  1. First-generation college student

  2. An OC high school graduate or community college transfer student planning to enroll full-time at a four-year college or university

  3. Latino/a who has lived in Orange County, California for the past three years

  4. Demonstrate financial need through the completion of a FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application

HEEF welcomes students who are undocumented! The HEEF Scholarship Program considers applicants based on a combination of financial need, academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular activities, community volunteer work, work-employment and home life. All applications are submitted online.

Boom & Bucket's Student Scholarship Program

Boom & Bucket is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to a student pursuing a heavy machinery themed program. This scholarship is available to both currently enrolled students and future students who are planning to attend a program within the next 12 months. The program can be at a college or a trade school anywhere in the United States or Canada. 

AmericanHort

Seeking applicants for its scholarship that identifies future leaders in horticulture and helps get them networked. This scholarship is open to “any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a strong interest in horticulture." Application deadline is Feb.1.

CCC Scholarships

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) is pleased to announce currently available scholarships.

Francis Santa Scholarship 2022-2023 For Business Students

Future business students are encouraged to  apply for the Francis Santa Scholarship for Business Students, through which a student planning on embarking down the road to becoming an entrepreneur will be given a $1,000 reward. A short essay is required for entry, and the winner will be selected based off of the content in that essay. Deadline is Feb 15.

Last Mile Education Fund

Last Mile Education Fund invests in the next generation of technology talent and therefore, offers financial assistance to unrepresented students majoring in tech and engineering. Students often encounter financial hurdles that can derail their education plans. Last Mile helps students stay in college so that they may launch careers in tech and boost workforce diversity. Emergency grants up to $599 are typically awarded within a few days. Larger grants (up to $10K) are awarded to students who demonstrate a high degree of need.
