Types of Investments

One-time investments in our endowment

A one-time gift of $10,000 or more (or $25,000 or more for YellowJacket status) to our endowment fund for any of the four areas.

Multi-Year Pledges

A monthly employee- deduction, monthly credit card deduction, or annual pledge promised over up to 5 years that totals $10,000 or more (or $25,000 or more for YellowJacket status).

Estate Gifts

An estate gift agreement and pledge for $10,000 or more (or $25,000 or more for YellowJacket status) to our endowment.

Non-Monetary Gifts

Gifts of real property, stocks, or other valuables valued at $10,000 (or $25,000 or more for YellowJacket status) after conversion to endowment funds given to the Foundation.

YellowJackets

Commitments at $25,000- Above

  • A Named Endowed Scholarship generating over $1,000/year for a student or $500/year for two students

  • Emergency Fund Endowment providing over $1,000/year to faculty and counselors to help a student in crisis. This funding could go to outright grants to pay for a one-time purchase needed in an emergency by a student or faculty member (such as special software for a disabled student, or a bus pass for a student who lost their car in an accident). It could also be used as bridge loans for a student who needs a short-term loan until Financial Aid reaches them.

  • Endowment funding of Presidential Scholars: Funding one student at $1,000/year as a Presidential Scholar.

  • Annual funding of Presidential Scholars: Funding 25 students at $1,000/year each year a Presidential Scholar (or some combination of annual and endowed funding.)

  • Angel Investment in our Apprentices

Commitments at $10,000- $24,500

  • A Named Endowed Scholarship generating over $500/year for a student. New Named Scholarships start at $12,500.

  • Emergency Fund Endowment providing over $350/year to faculty and counselors to help a student in crisis. This funding could go to outright grants to pay for a one-time purchase needed in an emergency by a student or faculty member (such as special software for a disabled student, or a bus pass for a student who lost their car in an accident). It could also be used as bridge loans for a student who needs a short-term loan until Financial Aid reaches them.

  • Endowment funding of Presidential Scholars: Funding goes into the pool for students at an average $1,000/year as a Presidential Scholar.

  • Annual funding of Presidential Scholars: Funding 10 students at $1,000/year each year

  • Angel Investment in our Apprenticeship Program.

Commitments Under $10,000

Any amount given will help us with our mission. Your money to go towards one of our funds: Endowment for scholarships, Emergency Grants, Angel Investment, or General Operating Support. We will use the money where there is the most need at the time of the gift.
