Cruz Reynoso was a Hornet alumnus and Student body President when the Hispanic population of the school was 7%. He was an activist and attorney for the United Farm Workers Union. Besides a career as an honored law professor at several prestigious law schools, Cruz was the first Chicano California Supreme Court Justice and a National Medal of Freedom Recipient in 2000. On September 14, 2023, at 4 PM as a kick-off for Hispanic Heritage Week, Fullerton College will honor Justice Reynoso by naming the Student Services Building (200) Cruz Reynoso Hall.
